Nominations have now closed for the Hubble Office of the Future Awards, and what a response we’ve had! London’s most innovative workspaces are all in the running for these first-of-their-kind awards, celebrating pioneers of the workspace revolution.
We’ve got an all-star panel of judges (and a very diverse one too, we might like to add!) and thought you’d be keen to know more about who they are. Here’s the line up:
Dara Huang
Architect Dara Huang is founder of Design Haus Liberty, a London-based architecture and design practice.
After obtaining a master’s degree in architecture from Harvard University, she started her career at architects Herzog de Meuron in Basel and Foster + Partners in London.
Since founding Design Haus Liberty in 2013, Huang has exhibited at Somerset House in London, at The Art Club Gallery in Seoul and at the Venice Architecture Biennale. She has received numerous awards and honours including four RIBA competition recognitions as well as inclusion in BBC China’s 100 Women, and Property Week’s 40 under 40.
Design Liberty Haus is passionate about creating value and leading design in emerging market trends and focuses on collaborating and expanding the boundaries of the way architects engage clients. Its clients include hotel groups Four Seasons and Starwood Capital and luxury brands LVMH and Cartier.
Juliette Morgan
Juliette Morgan is a property technology specialist with 15 years’ experience advising investors, developers, governments, occupiers, and owners around real estate strategy for developing tech companies and clusters.
Juliette’s glittering CV includes being the former Head of Property for Tech City UK, and a Partner for London Markets at Cushman & Wakefield. She is currently the Head of Campus at British Land.
She has worked internationally and deployed coworking spaces, pop-up investment suites, sensored social spaces, was a founder member of London’s tech city team for the UK government and co-developed Europe’s first PropTech accelerator – PiLabs.
Juliette also sits on advisory boards for early stage prop-tech companies, and smart cities initiatives for developers and government.
Vanessa Butz
Vanessa Butz is passionate about shaping the future of cities to improve everyone’s work and life experience.
Having studied Engineering, Economics and Management at Oxford University, she wrote her masters thesis on “Understanding the DNA of Strong Entrepreneurial Hubs” and took her theory into practice by building large technology and coworking campuses (Factory Berlin and Interchange Camden, Market-Tech). She is often credited as the trailblazer who transformed Camden from “punk to funk” in less than a year by spearheading its movement into a technology and creative hotspot.
Working at the intersection of cities and technology, she is now CEO and founder of District Technologies. She also serves as a Special Advisor to the Crown Estate.
Rajdeep Gahir
Rajdeep Gahir has spent her career launching and scaling disruptive technology businesses with a particular speciality in Property and Technology. In 2014, she led WeWork’s London and European roll-out. She has also worked in venture capital, private equity and capital markets.
Her passion lies in tackling big problems and helping dynamic companies scale.
At eBay she was brought in to incubate new businesses in London and she was part of the team responsible for taking WeWork Europe from inception to 8 buildings, over 600 members, a team of 40 people and annualised revenue of over $50 million in just 18 months.
She is currently co-founder of Vivahouse co-living.
Rebekah Tobias
Rebekah Tobias is the Head of Investor Relations at Tunstall Real Estate Asset Management (“Tunstall”), the pan-European alternative investment management firm.
Rebekah was previously at Cushman & Wakefield where her primary responsibilities included advising pension funds, private equity investors, international corporates, financial institutions and HNW private family offices on real estate acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures in gateway cities across Europe. She started her career at CBRE in New York prior to relocating to the London office in 2008.
Rebekah has over 15 years of real estate experience and a BA in English from San Diego State University, during which time she completed a special study at Cambridge University. She is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Tushar Agarwal
Tushar Agarwal is a co-founder and CEO of Hubble, the largest online marketplace for finding and renting office space in London, with more than 30,000 businesses signed up. Hubble has almost 100% of the market on its platform including coworking spaces, serviced office providers, and shared offices.
Tushar enjoys debating real estate technology, the future of work, and financing trends. He is an ex-investment banker from Greenhill and Co. and graduated in economics from the London School of Economics.
Hubble has raised funding from some of the most prestigious property and technology funds in the UK including EF, Concrete VC (Seedcamp), Starwood Capital, Maxfield Capital, Spire Ventures, 500 Startups and James Caan.
Tushar listens to way too much hip-hop and reads too much non-fiction.
