The Hubble Pass: How Do I Pay For On-Demand Workspace?

For us at Hubble, the beauty of hybrid working is that it gives us more choice.

For employers, there are more hybrid workplace strategies to consider. For People Ops pros, there is more potential talent to choose from the pool. And for employees, there is more flexibility and autonomy to work how you want, where you want and when you want.

At Hubble, we fully support this. Our philosophy is that every organisation should have their own unique workplace configuration, with employees deciding how to split their time. This could be from the company HQ, home or on-demand workspaces—or a combination of all three.

Keen to access a global network of on-demand workspaces? Here's how you can with Hubble Pass 'Credits'

We make this easy with Hubble HQ and the Hubble Pass. While Hubble HQ enables you to rent flexible office space by the month or longer, the Hubble Pass gives you all access to a global network of on-demand workspace bookable by the day or hour.

To book all types of on-demand workspaces available on the platform, you’ll need to figure out how you’d like to pay. We have two payment methods: Pay-As-You-Go or a Hubble Pass Membership, and both boast unique benefits.

But what are the key differences? This is one of the biggest questions we get asked about the Hubble Pass, so we’re going to break it down for you in one comprehensive article:

What is the Hubble Pass?

First things first, let’s cover the basics. The Hubble Pass is a workspace membership that allows businesses to give their team access to hundreds of the very best on-demand workspaces worldwide.

With it, your employees can book:

…across 1000+ locations worldwide.

Not only do we add more workspaces to the Hubble Pass every week, but members can even request for a location to be added to our network. This could be a local workspace, a city where a relative resides, or a country that feels like a second home. It’s up to you!

What are the payment options?

There are two ways of booking and paying for on-demand workspace with Hubble: Pay-As-You-Go and a Hubble Pass Membership.

Below, we outline the key differences:

Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG)

If you need on-demand workspace on a one-off or ad-hoc basis, PAYG may be the best option.

This is where you search and book an on-demand workspace at a specific date and time and pay for it in £ (GBP)not in credits.

For example, let’s say you want a meeting room in Birmingham for a one-off client meeting. It’ll take roughly two hours, no longer. You choose a 3-person meeting room at Boutique Workplace, secure the booking and pay a one-off fee of £80.

That’s it. No minimum spend. It’s as simple as that!

Hubble Pass Membership

If you’re a business with ongoing workspace needs, a flexible membership to the Hubble Pass is your best option.

For example, you may be a remote-first company with employees who’d like to work and collaborate in person on a regular basis. Or you could rent a part-time office for your team but want to give them the freedom to work from anywhere, anytime.

If that’s the case, a Hubble Pass membership works well. This membership uses a credits-based booking system. You buy the credits, and your team uses these to book the on-demand workspaces on the platform. The credits are held at a company level in your central pot.

Each credit has a value of £5. The exact number of credits you use per booking will depend on the workspace you opt for. For example, day offices will require a different number of credits than meeting rooms.

It’s worth noting that paying for on-demand workspace this way is 15% cheaper than a PAYG booking, and businesses must sign up for a subscription payment of a minimum of 100 credits (£500) per month.

How do I get credits?

So, you and your team are interested in the Hubble Pass, and you’d like to purchase credits. If you haven’t already created an account, here’s what you need to do:

  • Create your free account

The first step you’ll need to take is to create your free account with Hubble. No commitment or credit card details are required to do this.

  • Invite your team

Next, you’ll need to invite your team. To do this, simply head to the “Admin” section of your account and click “Manage Team”.

You can enter their email address or share a magic link, allowing them to join in just one click.

  • Sign up for your subscription payment of 100 credits (£500) per month

You can pause or cancel at any time and increase or decrease your plan amount — depending on your usage. For example, if you increase your monthly credits to 200 but need to cut down, you can easily set it back to 100 monthly credits.

So, now you’ve got an idea of how much credits cost and how to acquire them. The next step is determining how many credits your team will need to access the workspaces on the Hubble Pass.

How many credits do I need?

As mentioned, businesses who sign up for a Hubble Pass membership must sign up for at least 100 credits every month.

However, the exact number of credits you need will depend on your team size and how often they’ll use the Hubble Pass. It’ll also depend on the type of workspace they book.

While this will vary from space to space, we’ve created a rough pricing guide for your ease. As this is based on recent marketing averages, we’ll be sure to keep this pricing guide up-to-date:

To help you estimate exactly how many credits you’ll need, we’ve created an easy-to-use Hubble Pass Calculator. Not only will it do all the heavy lifting, but the results will give you:

  • A recommended flexible monthly plan
  • The cost of the monthly plan + VAT
  • A breakdown of how many coworking day passes, private office desks or meeting room seats are required each month

Check out the Hubble Pass Calculator to see how many credits you would need monthly! All you need to do is click the link below.
