2019 was a big year. Our office alchemists placed a business in a new office every three hours—that’s thousands of happy Londoners now working in a space that matches their business’ needs.

And they certainly weren’t lacking in choice… In 2019 we added a whopping 124,851 new desks to our platform. And for the first time ever, we listed managed and leased office spaces, making HubbleHQ the only place where businesses can easily find and compare all types of workspaces in one single, easy-to-use platform (or let our wonderful advisors do it for them).

But we wanted to find out which offices were the most popular with Hubblers last year. So, we’ve scoured our data to uncover the workspaces with the top views on our site, and discovered some interesting themes along the way…

East London remained the most searched for area on our platform—with over 15,167 searches in the Old Street area alone. This is unsurprising given its reputation as ‘Tech City’ and one of the trendiest districts in London. And why wouldn’t you want to set up base here? With everything you could possibly need on your doorstep, excellent transport links, networking opportunities, and a range of amazing eateries—it’s an ideal location (particularly for foodies).

We’ve also done some digging to find out what the most searched for facilities were in the past year, and we can reveal that WiFi topped the list, closely followed by searches for meeting rooms. Suggesting that alongside all the bonus facilities increasingly popular with businesses, from beer taps to pet-friendly policies, the fundamentals of having WiFi and available meeting rooms remain a top priority.

Interestingly, we saw an enormous 36% increase in people searching for childcare facilities, despite the fact that only 1.1% of office space providers in London can accommodate this high-in-demand feature. There are more working parents now than ever before, and people are looking for flexible childcare to support their work-life balance. Will we see a surge in office space providers offering childcare facilities in 2020…? You heard it here first.

We don’t want to give anything else away before you start guessing which workspaces came in top 10. So, without further ado… drum roll please…

1. Mindspace: Shoreditch

Mindspace, 9 Appold St, London EC2A 2AP, UK - 9th floor

In the top spot for the second year running is Mindspace: Shoreditch! Why does this office keep winning HubbleHQ’s popularity contest? Perhaps it’s the chic interior and inspiring art installations that grabs people’s attention. Or maybe it’s the extensive list of facilities and extras that give Mindspace the edge. They have on-site bike storage, showers, weekly yoga sessions and more. Find out more in this exclusive interview with Luke Trusselle, the City Lead for Mindspace London.

Being a member also means you get access to any Mindspace office around the world—we’re talking DC, San Francisco, Berlin, Tel Aviv and more—think of it like a coworking passport!

There is currently no availability for this space because it is so popular, but if you’re looking for something similar, get in touch with one of our tenant advisors on +44 20 3868 6470.

4. AirSpace: Soho

AirSpace Soho has been in our top ten for the past three years. And we’re not surprised, this workspace somehow manages to achieve the impossible by offering a high-quality workspace in Central London for a very reasonable price—in fact, they won the ‘Best Value for Money’ Award at the HOFFAs 2019. They also have tailored events and cultural programmes, meaning members can meet, network and collaborate.

This impressive building is set in the heart of Holborn, just minutes away from both Holborn and Chancery Lane stations.
