The future of work is a topic that’s been making a lot of noise recently, especially in the media. And as lockdown easing continues, powerful voices are beginning to head up the discussion—with Prime Minister Boris Johnson urging workers to return to the office because they’ve had enough “days off” at home.
But it’s these exact sentiments that Hubble wants to tackle—and why we’ve started our Back to (the Future of) Work webinar series. There’s something super valuable about going to the heart of the decision-making and learning how real businesses are approaching the future of work.
So on Wednesday 26th May, we were joined by three brilliant speakers: Natalina Manni, Director of Business Operations at Culture Trip; Tom Boal, Head of Operations at what3words and Erin Potter, People & Operations at Primer.
They each told a unique story of how they’re leading their companies into a new world of work—using everything from employee surveys to desk-booking systems. And when it comes to crucial points to consider when forming your own strategy, they’ve got you covered. The panel gave invaluable insights into topics such as:
- Deciding on a remote-first or office-first approach
- Including employees in the decision-making process
- Ensuring flexible working policies are fair and sustainable
and much more.
As always, the webinar finished with a Q&A session, and the panel shared interesting opinions on a whole range of topics—from the tax implications of “Work from Anywhere” policies, to tackling presence bias.
