    About this building

Harwell Innovation Centre provides contemporary, flexible office and meeting facilities with a vibrant, collaborative community, closely aligned to the rest of Harwell Campus. We share Harwell Campus’s vision to improve the lives of people through pioneering research and discoveries. As part of our community of like-minded entrepreneurs, you’re surrounded by inspiration, insight and ideas.

Originally starting life as an Officer’s Mess on RAF Harwell, the centre has always been at the heart of the innovative development of the Harwell Campus. Following the ground-breaking advancement of nuclear energy in the late ‘40s and ‘50s, the centre became home to many apprentices from all over the world, and continues to be to this day.
