About this building

At the other end of Watford High Street to our existing offering is The Old Bank. The building’s 1920’s Portland Stone and classical frontage sets this building apart from the High Street norm. This Grade 2 listed building is set in the Civic Core Conservation area just across the road from Watford’s centre of government. Whilst fronting the pedestrianised section of the High Street, off street car parking is close at hand as are a post office, many restaurants and bars and the latest extension to the Intu centre including a multiplex cinema. And yet, when you sit down at your desk in your centrally heated suite with its the secondary glazing you will be lulled into not believing that the modern world is so close. An eight month extensive fit out has enabled us to preserve the building’s 1920’s character whilst inputting the technology required for the 2020s. When we ripped out the existing carpeting we discovered and have preserved the original beautiful block wood flooring.
