It’s that time of the year again. Christmas Party season will soon be upon us! Feel like you’ve only just finished organising the last one? We feel you.
The thing is, the festive season should be about celebration, not stress. A chance to have fun after a year of grafting, and let your hair down with your teammates outside of the office. But we know that organising this kind of thing can be a bit of a nightmare. So, we’ve put together some unique Christmas party ideas to get you started (including those tried and tested by the HubbleHQ team).
For competitive teams:
Crazy Golf at Swingers
Crazy golf just got crazier. Blend festive spirit with your team’s competitive spirit at Swingers. You can book your whole evening here. There’s a range of street food vendors. There’s five different bars. And once everyone is energised: there are two adventurous nine hole golf courses. Then after some friendly competition. you can dance the night away while the DJs play.
For the party animals:
Bunga Bunga
Start the festive celebrations early. Kick off your office party with an eat-until-you can’t-eat-any-more Christmas Lunch extravaganza. During lunch, your team will also be treated to a Christmas Variety Show! You might even get to experience the infamous Christmas karaoke. Want to continue the celebrations into the evening? Enquire about hiring an area.
Alcohol-free ideas:
Wildlife drawing
Replacing humans with animals, this is a drawing class with a difference. You have the choice of drawing pigs, sea turtles, guinea pigs or even wolves… And you can bring the animals to your office… if you work in a pet-friendly space of course (and maybe check with your office provider that wolves fall under the bracket of ‘pets’). We can vouch for this experience, we drew micro pigs at our Christmas party last year, and it has to be one of our most memorable activities yet. Plus, all booking fees go towards helping animals. Win. Win.

For the big kids:
Ballie Ballerson
This Christmas, be an absolute BALLER. Take a PITstop at Ballie Ballerson with your team. See what we did there? Yes, we’re talking ball pits galore. Time for you and your team to release your inner child and embrace some silliness. Their motto is “why should kids have all the fun?”, and we tend to agree. We hosted one of our company socials and it went down a storm, what’s not to love? And they have retro sweetie flavoured cocktails.
There’s a whole range of Christmas packages here. You’ll be able to pick one that suits your needs.
Best Christmas party for big teams:
Christmas Karaoke
Is it just us or does every office night out end in karaoke? OK, karaoke might be a strong word. More like a group singalong in a bar if you’re lucky. Or in the street. If passers-by aren’t so lucky. So why not skip the middleman and go straight to karaoke?
Lucky Voice, for example, has spots all over London. Hire a room for a few hours. Or if needs be, you can hire their entire venue. Select your songs. Enjoy some Christmassy refreshments. Then, sing your hearts out! Remember: what happens in the karaoke booth, stays in the karaoke booth.
Full-on Christmas vibes:
Ice Bar
Why not go all-out Christmas and chill out in an Ice Bar? Wrap up warm in the chic fur coat and gloves they provide. Summon your inner Eskimo. Then enjoy some wintery refreshments. There are Christmas canapés or a 3-course meal – they can create a bespoke experience for your team. And with the festive ice sculptures, it’ll make for some great Instagram pics.
For a laugh:
The Boat Show Comedy Club
Got a lively team to keep entertained? Well, this Christmas party idea will certainly deliver on that front. And as an added bonus: it’s on a boat. Your team will be treated to a top-notch stand-up comedy show. All while enjoying nighttime views from the Thames. You can then go with a bespoke, festive buffet with drinks. Or a sit-down dinner. Either way, enjoy some nautical Christmas comedy!
Best Christmas party if your team likes to eat, drink and be merry:
Christmas Nightfall Banquet at the Ivory Faults
Your team won’t be hunting for a kebab at the end of this night. You’ll be treated to a five-course banquet, with plenty of wine and ale. Step into a medieval winter wonderland and prepare yourselves for all sorts of entertainment, dancing and merriment.
For something a bit different:
The Bletchley Experience
Don’t switch your brains off just yet. Here’s a great idea if you’re looking for something totally unique. The Bletchley Experience is described as “Personalised cocktails, code-breaking fun and haute cuisine!” Add in some Christmas hats, festive jumpers under your 1940s agent attire and crackers… Christmas parties will never be an ENIGMA again.
If you’re on a budget:
A Christmas Treasure Hunt
Are you feeling adventurous? Treasure hunts are all the rage right now. There are plenty of events companies offering bespoke treasure hunts for all sizes. But if you’re the creative type, consider creating one yourself. That way it’ll be bespoke to your team. You can create the route, the clues, the prizes and the teams.
Oh and make sure to make it fancy dress. What’s the point in sending your teams out across London if they’re not wearing embarrassing costumes?
